Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems therapy works with the different parts of yourself that hold thoughts, feelings, and protective patterns. Conflicting wants, a harsh inner critic, and habits you cannot seem to shift are understood as parts doing their best, rather than as personal failings. In IFS, your therapist helps you notice which part is active and approach it with curiosity. The goal is to connect with the calm, grounded core of yourself, so that parts can soften and feel less need to protect so hard. Internal Family Systems can help with: a harsh inner critic, people-pleasing and boundary difficulty, conflicting inner wants, self-sabotaging patterns, and the effects of past trauma or attachment wounds.
